Poker Nights: "Tropical Heat"
A downloadable game
This is our 2nd release in the VTO - Poker Nights series for Commodore Amiga. The Strip Poker game was originally published by VTO (Verlag Teresa Orlowski) in 1993 for PC only. In "Tropical Heat" you will play against 3 new VTO stars:
- Maria Janeira
- Iris Gold
- Sabina Milan

- 3 new opponents with different skill level
- more than 75 pictures in HAM6 format
- animated strip sequences
- playable from harddisk
- new title screen & logo
- new icons with 8, 64 or 128 colours
- 2 different languages (English/German)
- Tooltype Trainer-option (Custom5)
- Quitkey (F10)
REQUIREMENTS ...
- OCS / ECS or AGA Amiga with at least Kickstart 2.0 and 1 MB ChipMem
- This game will also run under emulation on Windows, Linux or Mac using FS-UAE or WINUAE and official Amiga ROMS.
- HardDisk with at least 5 MB free filespace
- 4 MB FastMem to cache all data (no picture reload)
- Additionally you need an A500 Kickstart 1.3 ROM image. The kickstart image must be located in the directory "Devs:Kickstarts" and must be named "kick34005.A500". The image can be extracted from an A500 with tools like GrabKick or similar which can be found on aminet. Furthermore the file "kick34005.A500.RTB" must be installed in the same directory as the kickstart image. It is part of this game package. Just copy it if not already present.
INSTALLATION ...
Extract the archive to your HardDisk or RamDisk, open the directory and double-click the Icon "Tropical Heat". When the program starts you can change the language settings and see which Quitkey is defined to finish the game. If you like you can change the icon with another one in the subdirectory "Icons".
HOW TO PLAY ...
You play a five-card draw poker game. If you are not familiar with the poker game rules, please read the game instructions in Manual.txt or Anleitung.txt. The game is over if one player has no money left.

Our first release at AmiGameJam 2021 was much fun and we enjoyed watching the stream hosted by AmigaBill. Next time we will send him a censored version. So he doesn't need to be afraid of Twitch anymore. ;O)

i get some sort of error that says "xpkmaster, library version 4 not found"
then when i click ok I get a message that says "file 'poker' is compressed using XPK but not cached, deteched in function 'resload_LoadFileOffset'.
i have no clue at all what Im doing but i didnt have this issue when playing the other amiga game so I have no idea what im doing wrong if anything
You can install the latest XPK package to solve the problem (see http://www.whdload.de/docs/en/need.html)
or unpack the related file, is not a bug.
Have you installed the latest archive? I was quite sure there are no files with compression,
